IMAGES FROM MELBOURNE

We spent most of our time in Melbourne. Not the CBD itself but in and around the area of South Yarra and Chapel street. During our last trip we took a day trip to the wine area towards Yarra valley. Australia to us is about the great wine and food with its victorian style houses. Try the greek style wraps made from lamb meat grilled on charcoal. Just add more yogurt sauce... it is delicious!

Specially like the tile work on the floor of these older shops.

Chadston is one of the mall we frequently visit when in Melbourne. Plus there is a Apple store at Chadstone shopping centre.

When ever possible we take a trip to the Queen victoria's market at Elizabeth street for Fresh ingredients. Its is ideal for students as this area is close to RMIT and Melbourne university. Its a great day out and do try the fried jam donuts from the van vendor which over the years has become a regular store. Although a Fruit and vegetable market there are souvenirs to be purchased. The open air market has a section which offers also variety of delicatessen of dried meat items.
